Sanchez, who played for the New York Jets, Philadelphia Eagles, and Dallas Cowboys during his NFL career, has not publicly commented on the charges. The incident in question reportedly occurred in a New Year’s Eve altercation at a bar in downtown Indianapolis. Sanchez is accused of causing serious physical harm to another individual during the altercation. The 34-year-old retired from the NFL in 2019 and joined Fox Sports as a college football analyst. He has not played professional football since his retirement. The legal proceedings are ongoing, and Sanchez will have the opportunity to present his defense in court.
